Accessing local memoQ projects from both home and work machines
Context: You have memoQ installed at work and also on your home machine, but no access to a memoQ server. You want to be able to resume working on your projects once you're back home from the office.
Description: You'll need to create a backup before you leave the office. Starting from memoQ 6.2, you can do that on Language Terminal, so you don't need to physically take your files with you. Once you're at home, just log in to Language Terminal and restore the project from the backup.
To create a backup of a local project on Language Terminal, make sure you have a Language Terminal account configured in memoQ, and then follow these steps:
1. Go to the Dashboard or Project/Manage Projects.
2. Select Backup project (the bottom left link below the project list).
3. Choose Store backup online in Language Terminal.
4. Click OK.
Please note that storing your project in the cloud (e.g. on Dropbox) is unsupported, and it won't work. To avoid the need for backups, you'll need a memoQ server in the office.
