Using SDL Studio packages in memoQ
Description: In memoQ, you can import in SDL Studio created packages (these packages have the *.sdlppx file extension). You can find instructions on how to import such a package here.
The SDL Studio package contains the translatable files in the SDLXLIFF file format. memoQ has an SDLXLIFF filter where you can configure the document import settings into memoQ (read more here).
In case the import of the SDL Studio package files into memoQ fails, do the following (you need to do the following in Studio):
- After the file was imported into SDL Studio, right-click the file in the source language view, and click Prepare. The Prepare operation is a batch process which includes the segmentation of the file. It is not enough just to create the SDLXLIFF files in Studio.
- You need to run the Prepare operation to import the files into memoQ.
If you are a translator, and if you have SDL Studio, and received an SDL Studio package (SDLPPX file):
- Open the package in SDL Studio; segment the files in using the Prepare operation;
- then navigate to the SDLXLIFF files in your project location, then replace the files in the Studio package with these segmented SDLXLIFF files.
