Do I need to reconsolidate a sliced document in order to export it
Context: You have sliced a document and assigned it to different translators. The translators have been translating, and now you wish to export the translated document. You wonder whether reconsolidation is needed.
Description: When a document is sliced and distributed between different translators, there are no physical copies made on the server for individual translators. They are still working on the same document - but the parts not assigned to them are locked for editing. memoQ will synchronize the translations into the same document, so when you export the document, it will contain all translations.
By choosing reconsolidation, you are telling memoQ to forget the assignments to the individual translators, so slicing can be started over, if necessary.
