Server not activated!

Title: Server not activated

Description:    Your memoQ server does not start up. In the server log, and/or in the Windows Event Viewer, you see the "Server not activated!" message.

How to:   

This message - while sometimes it does mean what it says on the can - often indicates user permission issues.

Check which user is running the memoQ server service, and make sure that this user has sufficient permissions to run services _and_ it has permissions over the SQL server behind the memoQ Server.

Please note that in many cases, a Windows user that was able to run the server service, might lose its permissions without a visible cause, and has to have its user rights readjusted.
