What counts as a repetition?
Posted by P├ęter Botta on 29 July 2013 02:14 PM

Description: This article describes how memoQ counts repetitions and illustrates it on an example.

Imagine the following text:

This is a sentence. Another sentence. This is a sentence. Something else. This is a sentence.

In this text you have 16 words. Out of this, the sentence "This is a sentence." is 4 words, repeated three times. The first occurrence needs to be translated. The second and third don't. So the amount of repetitions is 8 words.

Please read here on Statistics and how repetitions can affect them.
