Title: translating a Star Transit package in an online project

Description:    memoQ doesn't allow you to import a Transit package directly as an online project. However, there is a workaround if you want to work with such a package online.

How to:

  1. Import the Transit package into a local project. Keep that project, make extra sure it is not deleted.
  2. Publish the project online, and follow your normal translation workflow.
  3. When the translation workflow is complete and the documents are final, export all documents to mqxliff or mqxlz format.
  4. Reopen the the original local project, and update the documents there by importing the bilingual files you exported from the online project in the previous step. This will populate the documents with the final translations produced in your online project workflow.
  5. Export the Transit package to the delivery format from the local project.

Warning: When publishing the local project, memoQ will by default hide the original local project (remove it from all the project lists). It is best if you uncheck this option. But even if you forget about thism and your local project gets hidden, you can still open it by clicking Project menu > Open, browsing to the folder of the project, and opening the project by selecting the .mprx file.
