This article contains a list of items that cannot be used while naming a project in memoQ. 
Applies to: 

All memoQ versions

Details: 
The length limit is 255 characters.
The name cannot be the name of an already existing project and cannot contain:
• The following reserved characters:
o < (less than)
o > (greater than)
o : (colon)
o " (double quote)
o / (forward slash)
o \ (backslash)
o | (vertical bar or pipe)
o ? (question mark)
o * (asterisk)
o Integer value zero, sometimes referred to as the ASCII NUL character.
o Characters whose integer representations are in the range from 1 through 31, except for alternate data streams where these characters are allowed.
o Any other character that the target file system does not allow.
• The following reserved names:
o CON
o PRN
o AUX
o CLOCK$
o NUL
o COM1
o COM2
o COM3
o COM4
o COM5
o COM6
o COM7
o COM8
o COM9
o LPT1
o LPT2
o LPT3
o LPT4
o LPT5
o LPT6
o LPT7
o LPT8
o LPT9
