Title: Server not activated

Description:    Your memoQ server does not start up. In the server log, and/or in the Windows Event Viewer, you see the "Server not activated!" message.

How to:   

This message - while sometimes it does mean what it says on the can - often indicates user permission issues.

Check which user is running the memoQ server service, and make sure that this user has sufficient permissions to run services and it has permissions over the SQL server behind the memoQ Server.

Please note that in many cases, a Windows user that was able to run the server service might lose its permissions without a visible cause, and has to have its user rights readjusted.
