Title: Proofreading documents that haven't been translated in a CAT tool.

Context: You must proofread documents (.doc, PPT, HTTP, etc.) that have not been translated in a CAT environment and would like to do so in memoQ.

Description: To read the translated text in order to compare it to the source document whilst being able to bring modifications to the target text you need to align both documents using memoQ's LiveDocs LiveAlign.

Fix: In order to align the documents in memoQ's LiveDocs LiveAlign please refer to the video available here.

Once these have been aligned create a new project in memoQ and import the source text, run Pre-Translate and you should have an identical match of the translated document. From there on you can add the desired changes and export the proofread documents in its initial format once you're done.
